Tri number 5

These pictures are a bit out of sequence. Oh well!

Last triathlon of the season for Reed, at least so he says, happened here in CDA last Saturday. It was cool and cloudy, same as last year. "Perfect weather" Reed says.

He did really well, as usual, and even got a 3rd place podium finish in his division, a 2:30:17 time which also placed him in the top 10 for his age group. There were around 700 participants in this olympic distance race.

These pictures, by the way, were not taken by me. I have a few terrible pictures of the back of Reed as he wizzed by. Thanks John and Sandy for the great pics!!!

Next year......the big daddy of them all, the full Ironman! Seriously crazy. Maybe by then I will be able to get over my fear of swimming in deep water (and the lake) and be able to do one of those little sprint tri's I have been forever training for. We will see!

wow amazing. Congrats! I recently heard that wet suits are buoyant and keep you afloat. Is that true? Cuz if it is I wouldn't be as afraid to do one in a lake. The swim is what scares me the most.
