Funnel cake.... anyone?

There are a lot of pictures for this post. That is probably because we were at Silverwood (largest amusement park in NW, and 20 min. from our house) for almost 11 hours! With 4 kids. We were amazed at how well everyone did considering the looong day. We have to give a lot of credit to Bette, who was a tremendous help! We started out at Boulder Beach. It was so fun. There was an awesome water park area for little ones, a lazy river, and some huge slides and water rides for the adults. Owen's favorite part was the wave pool.

After the water park we headed over to the rides. I am NOT a fan of rides. Reed forced me, I am not kidding, onto a little bitty roller coaster. I guess it wasn't that bad, but I am still not a fan. Reed loves the rides more than I dislike them, so he had a blast. I did enjoy the kiddie rides, though. That is more my pace. Rachel, Meghan, and Matthew all rode their first roller coaster. They loved it. Owen's favorite ride was driving the antique cars, all by himself. Meghan liked the airplanes and Matthew says he loved them all. Reed loved Aftershock, a crazy coaster that reaches 70 mph. Bette liked the water slide.

We finished the night with a funnel cake, a first for all of us. It was really good. I can see why people like them!

Wow, how nice to have it so close to you! That would make for a very long day - glad it worked out so well.
