Yes, you may (finally) have donuts today.

We have donuts about twice a year, and one of those times is for Owen's birthday. My kids love donuts. So much so, that Matthew and Megs sometimes ask for them in their prayers. It is not uncommon to hear "please have donuts today" when it is their turn to pray. So, after much anticipation, Owen's birthday arrived on July 25th, and we had donuts. The next day Owen randomly remarked, "if I could wish on a star, my first wish would be for it to rain donuts and toys. my second wish would be to have a full Ironman suit, and third wish would be for all cars to be transformers." What would I have wished for at 6 years old??

Anyway, we had a great time celebrating Owen's birthday. He was so super excited for his birthday to come that Reed and I were a bit worried he was going to be sadly disappointed. He ended the day saying it was the best birthday ever, so I guess he wasn't!

The last picture is of Owen's cake that Megs and Matthew destroyed. We left them at the table finishing their pieces of cake, while I fed the baby and Reed had a phone call. I honestly wasn't surprised to come back to find that they had poked holes in the cake with anything and everything they could find, while also wiping frosting everywhere. That is what I get for leaving a cake with 2 unattended 3 year olds.

Your kids are so dang funny! The cake is hilarious! Happy Birthday to Owen! Can't believe he is 6 years old! I loved his wishes - what a cute kid! So glad he had such a great day (even though his brother and sister tried to destroy his cake)!
