Growing up, Reed used to cry the first day of school, every year. Our kids started school on this past Wed. and there wasn't a tear to be shed. Day 2, though, Matthew said he didn't like going to school and that his teacher was mean. So far that has been the only opposition.
I have to admit I did not cry either. I know a lot of moms do, especially when their kindergartners are off for their first day. Not me. That is probably some indication of my lacking "motherly" qualities. Oh well. I might cry when our baby has her first day of kinder, though. Maybe there is hope for me yet.

Hey, join the club. I shed tears this year because Kyler the Terrible DIDN'T get to start kindergarten, with his 9/2 birthday, nor can he go to preschool so far (the waiting list is still 30 deep). Yay for me. They are all cute!
Cute! Yay for you and some free time!
I would argue that not crying, either you or the twins, shows that you are all well-adjusted and healthy. You are fulfilling your role as a mother to have prepared your children to commence this phase of their lives with confidence and excitement. And here's another thought...God made teenagers so that you would have their bags packed, sitting by the door when the time comes for them to head off on the next phase of their lives.
Cute kids!!! They sure have grown a lot!!! Don't feel bad...I could hardly wait for school to start!
