Christmas 2008

Meghan had surgery on the 22nd to remove her adnoids/tonsils and have tubes placed in her ears. Everything went well. It was a tough week, though! We are glad she is finally feeling better. It did make for a more interesting Christmas!

We enjoyed our Christmas and time together this year. I believe it was our first Christmas without any family to visit with, so that was a bit different ( we missed it!). Reed had the whole week off, so that was great fun to have him around. He spent many an hour playing games with the kids. The favorite (of Owen's) being Pokeman Master Trainer. Owen is really into Pokeman right now. I haven't a clue what it is all about. When asked what his favorite Christmas present was, Owen said a pack of Pokeman cards. Who knew?

Matthew really liked his Hulk Smash Hands. They make noises when he punches things and he LOVES to punch things. Meghan seems to like Owen's Leapster the best this year. And Rachel loves anything she can get her cute little hands on. Christmas day, Reed got sick, so that was not so much fun. He spent most of the day being out of commission.

Reed and I spent/spend quite a bit of time shoveling snow. Reed's new nickname is Dozer. He is the fastest snow shoveler I have ever seen. I appear to be shoveling in slow motion when standing next to him. He is quick to help the neighbors with their snow removal as well. We have had around 100 inches of snow for the month of December! We smashed the old record to pieces. We normally get 19 inches of snow in December, and 66 for the entire winter. The kids sure enjoy playing in the snow and have had fun making sledding hills and going on "adventures" in the back yard, which has 3-4 foot high, or more drifts.

I'm glad the surgery went well. I'm sure it will help her issues a lot. You all look so cute. We miss the snow. We have to turn the a/c on some days, but some days it does get a little cold.

Super cute! Love the matching pjs. Looks like you had a nice Christmas (even if the weather outside was frightful!) Hope Reed's back survives the winter! Love you guys!
