On Saturday, June 21st, Reed competed in his first triathlon, the Cache Valley Classic. He did the Olympic Tri, and here are his numbers, in case anyone is interested!1.5 Km (almost 1 mi) Swim: 24min:14sec
24.8 Mile Bike: 1h:16min
10K (6.4 mi)Run: 57min:29sec
Not bad for a first try!
It was really fun to watch, especially since two of Reed's brothers were there also and competed in the Sprint category. Way to go, Reed, Russ, and Ryan!!!!!!

What you didn't mention is that Reed took SECOND place! Soooo amazing! I'm proud of all of my brothers. It was such a fun weekend - I'm so glad for the miracle of me being able to be there. Love you guys!

There were 2 people in his division, Olympic-Clysdales (200+ pounds), so yes, he got second, out of 2 people! Overall he placed 46 out of 76. Even though his times were faster than many, his transitions are what killed. He couldn't get his number off his shirt after the swim and it wasted 6 minutes!
