Last weekend Reed and Owen went on their first Father's and Son's campout. It started out a bit tricky, though, since, someone, who will remain unnamed forgot owen's bag--with all of his clothes! They camped in the Jemez Mtns., which gets quite chilly at night, so they had to borrow and beg, and ended up being okay. Owen had a lot of fun, and enjoyed having full reign of his very own flashlight most of all. The drawback to this camping experience was that, because of dry conditions, no fires were allowed. I, unfortunately, refuse to camp if smores are not involved, so I guess it is good no girls were allowed!
